Group Pilates Class:
Falls,  Strength & Balance

Would you like to improve their balance and strength?  This class is for you!
   
You may have noticed a loss in muscle mass or tone, or would like to be more confident when walking.  The class consists of a circuit of varied strength and balance exercises, targeted to your specific needs.    All our sessions are run by our experienced  Accredited Exercise Physiologist, who are movement experts.   They will also provide you with an individualised home exercise program to complement our in-gym sessions.

Individually tailored exercise programs for all chronic conditions and injuries in a supportive and fun environment.


Medicare rebates are eligible for those who live with diabetes and have a EPC GP referral. Prior to booking your class make sure you have your one on one with your physio to determine if this class is appropriate for you.

The Timetable

Our falls, strength and balance classes are designed for people of all ages and fitness levels. We offer a variety of class times to make it convenient for you to find a class that fits your schedule.

This class is great for those who need to improve their balance, have noticed a loss in muscle mass or tone.   Clients may also experience osteoporosis,  balance issues or past falls. This class is perfect if you would like to improve your health and fitness under the direct supervision of an exercise physiologist.

 

Past falls:

exercise programs incorporating balance and strength training significantly lower the rate of falls in older adults.

Osteoporosis:

improves bone density, decreases the risk of fractures, and enhances overall musculoskeletal health.

Neurological Disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis):

to enhance balance, mobility, and functional abilities.

Post-Stroke Patients:

strength exercises Improves balance, postural control, and reduces the risk of falls during the recovery phase.

Diabetes:

to improves balance and coordination, addressing the increased risk of falls associated with peripheral neuropathy.

Cancer Survivors:

to address balance issues and enhances overall physical function during and after cancer treatment.

Vestibular DisordersV:

to targets issues related to the vestibular system, improving balance and reducing dizziness.

Arthritis:

to enhances joint stability and reduces the risk of falls in individuals with arthritis.

Early Cognitive Impairment (e.g., Alzheimer's disease):

strength and balance class will promotes physical activity and functional independence while addressing balance concerns.
