Have you noticed a change in your movement confidence? Do you need balance support when going up and down stairs or on uneven ground? Maybe you've noticed a loss in muscle mass or tone?

Whilst all these scenarios are normal evidence of ageing, there is something you can do to slow the progression, and improve your quality of life. 

At Move we run specialised Strength & Balance classes run by accredited Exercise Physiologists - in a circuit style semi-private class consisting of evidence based classes to improve muscle strength, stability and body awareness.

 

  • Maximum 8 per class

  • Initial assessment is essential for all new clients

Our Strength & Balance classes are designed for people of all ages who are looking to improve total body strength and reduce their risk of falls - all supervised by an exercise physiologist.

Individuals with osteoporosis or those who have had a fall in the past will also benefit from this class.

All experience levels welcome.

Initial assessments are essential prior to joining group classes.​​

Reduced risk of falls -  Falls are a major health risk for older adults. Our classes can help you reduce your risk of falling by up to 40%.
 
Improved balance and coordination -  Good balance is essential for preventing falls and everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs and getting in and out of bed. Our classes will help you improve your balance and coordination so you can move with confidence.
 
Increased strength - Stronger muscles help to support your bones and joints, which can help to prevent falls. Our classes will help you increase your strength, especially in the muscles that are important for balance.

Improved flexibility - Flexibility is important for maintaining good balance. Our classes will help you improve your flexibility so you can move more easily and safely.​​
